Let's talk about the suspense in this tale. WOW. Keeps you on your toes. This book also made me cry. I was reading at work and had to stop because big tears were falling down my face. Teresa takes you around the whole feeling gambit. I got so mad at one point, that I had to stop reading for an hour. But I had to find out what happens so I came back to it. From the first page of this book the reader finds themselves drawn into a world where answers are not always easy and the consequences are sometime life ending! Open this book and you will be hooked on this series!

Slade and Jill are three weeks away from their wedding when disaster strikes in an unexpected way! They have fought the fight and at last a future together is within their grasp until Jill shows signs of illness. Vampires and half-breeds cannot get sick, can they? Will Slade find out what is wrong in time or will he loose the other half of his soul?

Caroline has tried to stay away from Jax, just like he asked her too! The only problem is that Jax cannot stay away from her either. They are both drawn into the search for answers about what is happening to their friends. Will they be able to find the answers needed in time? Can they continue to deny the bond between them? Caroline and Jax will do everything they can to help, but will it be enough?

I have been waiting and waiting for this book to go live. I just finished reading it and oh wow was it ever good. I've come to love this group of warriors and their mates! And the turn this story took had me concerned, very concerned about the health and welfare of this beloved group that I hold so near and dear to my heart. The suspense made me antsy, irritable and i nipped my fingernails to stubs through the whole story. I felt every emotion crystal clear - all the agony, helplessness, love and courage that these characters felt. All day today I've had this feeling that I should call one of them to make sure things are going smoothly and if there's anything I can do to help ) I know - I'm so emotional.

Anyways, this story was fantastic. Tonight I will be staying up late re-reading the whole thing. A couple of new characters were introduced and I want to make sure I understand how they fit in.

A huge thank you to Ms. Gabelman for such a fantastic read!!!!! Am so ready and waiting for the NEXT installment.

Teresa Gabelman is a phenomenal author. She has away of drawing you into the story. She captivates you. I feel emotionally connected to the characters in her stories. I was invested in this book from page one. If an author can give you a Quality book over Quantity, it's a winner. Many people can simply tell you a story, but not many like Ms. Gabelman can inspire you with every word she writes. I'm in awe of this author, I want to climb into her head and stay there.
I am a huge Teresa Gabelman fan and she had me worried throughout this book. I seriously thought that I was going to have to burn the book and cry and then do bad things to the author LOL. I absolutely loved this book just like all of the other books. I mean this book had things happen that I didn't see coming. It touched on emotions that only a great writer could pull off. Now I will impatiently wait for the next in the series which I hope has more to do with Jax and Caroline. Oh and is Sloan going to get him a hottie soon? Thanks Teresa for another amazing read.
